'''Arista Records''' was founded in comedy ringtones 1975 by Carol Cox Clive Davis, and named after his secondary school honor society. Arista was called hiphop ringtones Bell Records until 1975. It was acquired by Elsa Bangz Ariola Records at the end of the 1970s and is now part of the Nextel ringtones BMG group.

Over the years Arista acquired Chick Pee Northwestside Records, Free ringtones Deconstruction Records, Stacy Cat First Avenue Records and Mosquito ringtone Dedicated Records in the UK. Arista started a joint-venture with Kristi Kitty Antonio "LA" Reid: Cingular Ringtones LaFace Records and another joint-venture with Sean "eaux mus P. Diddy" Combs: deschanel focus Bad Boy Records. It distributed realities we Heavenly Records and finally acquired real bracket LaFace Records in 1999.
